The Good News
The good news is, the hard part of being a vegetarian is over. By now you are probably used to seeing others eating meat and not been able to have any. Your friends all know that you don't eat meat and you feel pretty good. You probably have a few favorite recipes that you have all the time. So take this moment to tell yourself what a hard thing you just accomplished. Yay you! The hard part is over !

Here is a great vegetarian recipe!!! If your not getting enough protein as a vegetarian, this meal has lots of tofu which is filled with protein!!!! Even if you don't like tofu(i hate it)you won't be able to taste it!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 small onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1 T olive or grapeseed oil
1 14 1/2 oz can diced tomatoes
1 t dried basil
8 oz drained tofu
2 cups cooked brown rice
10-12oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
Preheat oven to 350.
1) Heat oil over medium heat and brown the onion and garlic. about 5 minutes.
2) Add undrained tomatoes and basil. Bring to a boil and reduce heat . Simmer uncovered for 3 minutes.
3) In the meantime, blend tofu in a blender or food processor until smooth. Add to tomato mixture.
4) Stir in the cooked rice, spinach, half the swiss, salt and pepper.
5) Grease a 2 quart baking dish and pour the mixture in.
6) Bake uncovered at 350 for 30-40 minutes. sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top for the last 10 minutes.

Chickens
A fun thing to do that will also help you become vegetarian is to get chickens as pets.(they are pets don't eat them)Chickens are so much fun.I have six chickens.I got my chickens as chicks and they were so cute.I got to have fun and learn a little bit about chickens at the same time.The eggs that chickens lay taste better than eggs you buy at the store.My chickens are almost full grown and will start laying eggs in September. i will keep you updated on them and i will also post some chicken pictures!!!!i think chickens make great pets.

That's because it will be killed for food. Pork, bacon, sausage, ham, and many more things are made from pigs. It's not just pigs,animals like cows and chickens are also used for food. Next time you are at a restaurant looking at the menu, or at home deciding what to eat for dinner,think about what your food
was before it was your food. Say to yourself"Do you really want to eat animals like this one.
How I became a vegetarian
I became a vegetarian because I hate how animals are treated. At first, I ate a little meat but then stopped. When I read The Omnivore's Dilemma it made me feel bad for the animals. For example some people think that it's okay to eat chickens because they aren't smart, but I read that they have proved to be as smart as dogs and some primates.This is a link to the magazine I read this in. http://www.peta.org/
